We are students from the Institute for Biological and Medical Engineering doing fun interdisciplinary projects advancing science and engineering with impact in the society
We self-organized to lead and create environments that promotes synergistic interdisciplinary work, communication and friendship. We give experience working togheter to students with different background through interdisciplinary projects. The projects are Open-Source, with impact in society and aim to reduce knowledge barriers between different areas, by creating educational resources.
We are constantly generating new interdisciplinary projects to promote the colaboration between students with different background and looking for funding to execute them.
Visit our GitHubHere are some short descriptions from Wikipedia of the disciplines that we are currently using and developing in our projects
Synthetic biology (SynBio) is a multidisciplinary area of research that seeks to create new biological parts, devices, and systems, or to redesign systems that are already found in nature.
3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model.
Electronics comprises the physics, engineering, technology and applications that deal with the emission, flow and control of electrons in vacuum and matter.
Neurosciences are a multidisciplinary science that combines physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, developmental biology, cytology, computer science and mathematical modeling to understand the fundamental and emergent properties of neurons and neural circuits.
Computer programming is the process of designing and building an executable computer program to accomplish a specific computing result or to perform a specific task.
Imaging science is a multidisciplinary field concerned with the generation, collection, duplication, analysis, modification, and visualization of images, including imaging things that the human eye cannot detect.
Physiology is the scientific study of functions and mechanisms in a living system.
Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include teaching, training, storytelling, discussion and directed research.
We are constantly looking for people to join our projects and to help with projects that are interesting and educational for us.
